We started in 2018 with the Dutch artist Darrin Umboh.
The illustration is called “Performance Marketing Heroes” and captures all the elements of our industry's day-to-day life - or at least the elements necessary to find success.
Dumboh works as an illustrator for various clients. With friends he once ran brand + shop LEYP and in the meantime he made many yers for Amsterdam clubs, such as Jimmy Woo and Bitterzoet. This is how he met Heroes on Socks founder Jermaine Tjong A Hung, who came from Scotch & Soda. Darrin developed the logo and the look & feel of the brand, and before he knew it he was on board as head designer.
Our introductory piece is called Performance Marketing Heroes. Defined by the triangular structure which brings us all together, this illustration represents the depth and diversity in our industry.
Each element holds a special meaning; a symbol of the many factors that combine to make our industry one coherent, fascinating whole. Scroll down to find the meaning of each!
